Adobe has announced partnerships with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group to bring licensed music into its Premiere mobile video editing app. The partnerships, announced on Tuesday, November 3, will let users add up to 60 seconds of a track to a video.
According to Adobe, the tracks will be licensed for personal, non-commercial use. The music is coming soon to Premiere mobile, a free app for iPhone and Android.
Users will be able to browse, search and preview music by artist or track, filtering it by genre and duration. They will also be able to bookmark favorite tracks, explore label-featured collections and use templates paired with music.
Finished videos can be exported from Premiere mobile and posted to licensed social platforms; Adobe named YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels as examples. Users needing music cleared for commercial use can continue to use Adobe Stock Audio.
