YouTube Music and Premium have surpassed 150 million subscribers worldwide, including trials. The figure was disclosed by Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai in Alphabet’s Q3 2026 earnings release.
The total is up from the 125 million announced by YouTube in March 2025. According to calculations cited by the source, that means more than 25 million additions in roughly 20 months, averaging around 1.3 million net additions per month.
Alphabet does not break out how many subscribers pay for YouTube Music alone versus YouTube Premium. YouTube Premium includes ad-free video playback, background play, offline downloads and full access to YouTube Music.
In the third quarter, Alphabet’s “Google subscriptions, platforms, and devices” revenue line grew 11% year over year to $14.29 billion, while YouTube advertising revenues rose 9.2% to $11.21 billion.
