Serato DJ comes to iPhone and iPad with Serato DJ for iOS

TECHNOLOGY

Serato DJ for iOS is available for iPhone and iPad. The app uses the same engine as Serato DJ Pro and rebuilds decks, crates, waveforms and the library for mobile devices.

The platform lets users connect Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, Spotify or Tidal, placing playlists, liked songs and local files in one library. Without hardware, users can mix directly from the screen with Handheld Mode.

Serato lists plug-and-play support for more than 120 setups across controllers, turntables and mixers from AlphaTheta, Hercules, Numark, Pioneer DJ, Rane, Roland and others. Serato iOS Transfer moves crates, cue points, beatgrids and metadata from a laptop to iPhone or iPad wirelessly or by cable, requiring Serato DJ Pro or Lite 5.0 or later.

The listed features include Serato Stems, Stems FX, cues, loops, samples, Slicer, Loop Roll, more than 60 FX, Lucid Beatgrids, Quantize, Key Sync, DVS support and mix recording on the device. Serato DJ for iOS is free to download from the App Store.
