Joseph Strange, a former Eminem employee, pleaded guilty in a criminal copyright case linked to the sale of the rapper's unreleased music.

According to documents cited by the US Department of Justice, Strange sold 10 or more audio files online for approximately $50,000.

The tracks later appeared on public streaming platforms without Eminem's permission or prior knowledge. Prosecutors said the identified files had been accessed more than 8 million times as of November 2025.

Strange faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison; sentencing is scheduled for January 27, 2027.
