Tamber 2.0, the AI software suite for production and sound discovery

TECHNOLOGY

According to MusicTech, Tamber began as a solo project by musician and developer Zoe Wrenn during the COVID period and became a company in 2024. Tamber 2.0 is offered at $9.99 per month or $99 per year.

The suite includes Librarian, described as a free sample organiser with tags also based on feelings and colours, audio-based search and personal crates. City Packs collects user-submitted field recordings turned into percussive, melodic and atmospheric samples, while Sonic Atlas is a music discovery app linked to Apple Music.

Tamby is an AI-powered assistant currently available for Ableton Live 11 and 12, controlled by text or voice to create tracks, add plugins, enable recordings and manage loop recording. The source reports work underway on compatibility with Logic Pro and then FL Studio.

Gestures uses a webcam as the interface for a synthesiser and MIDI controller: it can track both hands, assign notes or chords to one hand and modulation to the other, includes a vocoder and can control other instruments or audio plugins.
